It Happened While You Were Sleeping

Sorry for the delay in the daily Spreadsheet.

I was up at 5:30 am Eastern to shovel the driveway after a full day of snowfall. By 6:44, I was winning the battle and thinking of going inside for a warm shower, breakfast and, later, a full day of work.

At 6:45, I was admiring the soft blue tones of the sky, wondering whether I should just die here in the driveway or try to crawl inside the house.

Back to 6:44.30, or thereabouts.

Nearly done with the driveway, I took a big step to clear more snow. That step was not so firm. One giant step for man, one giant fall for this kind man. My fall was not so slightly interrupted a stone ledge, which not so gently touched the lower left side of my back and side.

Back in the house now. Still in some pain, but I am receiving a direct stream of sunlight through my window. My back hurts when I turn, when I try to walk and when I sit. But it doesn't hurt when I stand and do nothing.

Sounds like a perfect time to stand at the bar and do nothing. Doing nothing is pretty much my fallback plan for any serious situation. Sooo, here goes nothing......
