Everybody's In My Picks to Click

It's shaping up as a night to remember in the Lounge. Game Center Live, Center Ice, Versus HD, MSG Plus and, if necessary, Internet radio will all be counted on tonight as it's 2 Much Tuesday in the Lounge.

Montreal visits MSG to play the Rangers, and the big screen will have that one on at 7:30 pm on Versus HD. But I am getting ahead of myself. Before that game, the Lounge will have Boston/Carolina and Buffalo/Atlanta (both 7 pm Eastern starts) on the Game Center Live quad screen on the laptop.

At 7:30, Toronto/Ottawa and Phoenix/Tampa Bay come on line and fill out the other two spots on the quad screen.

Now here is where things get interesting.

Washington/Florida is a 7:30 start and Colorado/St. Louis, Philadelphia/Nashville, and Edmonton/Minnesota start at 8. What to do with these games, and also the San Jose/Dallas game that starts at 8:30?

Heh heh, I have a plan.

As part of my seasonlong test of the Game Center Live product, I will see if I can sign on as myself a second time to watch four more games in the quad-game mode. I will add an iMac G5 to the lineup and put four games on that screen. With the HD TV and two computers in use, that leaves the Sharks/Dallas game in limbo, that is, until I wheel in another TV and put that game up on Center Ice.

That's 10 games at once, baby, and I hope the double Game Center Live experiment works, or I'll put the Center Ice channel that rotates among the games on a quad screen throughout the night. (But lets hope it doesn't come to that.)

And yes, I remember the final game of the night. The Islanders are in Vancouver for a 10 pm Eastern start. By then, the first two 7 pm games should be done. I can put the Isles on the big screen when the Habs and Rangers are done.

Everybody is taken care of. Who loves hockey? The Lounge does. WOOOOOHOOOOO!
