Thursday's Coffee. Make That 3 Cups

Yes, it was that tough to watch, but I did get through the Sabres/Devils game last night. Right down to the end, there were enough mistakes, breakdowns and overall problems that would make the Ice Capades shut down to retinker the act.

And yet, we concur with the folks on "NHL on the Fly" that these mistakes become, as Billy Jaffe and Kevin Weekes called them, coachable moments.

You can use these mistakes as coaching tools: either on-ice instructional drills or the nailing of a player to the wall with instructions not to take the player down until the coach says otherwise.
