Bottled Beer and Picks to Click

I can say that it's great to have the Lounge now that joints like Scruffy Duffy's and McHale's have been erased from Hell's Kitchen grid to make way for vacant lots. A lot of hockey and adult beverages gone and never to return to Eighth Avenue. Those memories have me running to punch up the Cold War Kids on the jukebox.

Yes, the Lounge is my joint now, and there's bottles of beer in the cooler. Leftovers of a carne asada tri-tip that I grilled last night will be cut up for tacos. Beer and tacos. Yep, that's what will be on the menu when Montreal visits Boston tonight (Center Ice, 7 pm Eastern) and lands the prime spot on the Big Screen in the Lounge.

Philadelphia at Carolina (Center Ice, 7 pm Eastern) lands on the modestly sized HD monitor and the auxiliary TV (CRT model) gets the local Rangers broadcast of Buffalo at the Rangers (7 pm, MSG Network). Live look-ins on Tampa Bay-Washington, Minnesota-Atlanta, Edmonton-Detroit and Vancouver-Ottawa.

Nashville-St. Louis (8 pm Eastern) is Internet radio. Watched the Islanders last night. Ain't gonna do a lot of that again, at least, not on the Big Screen. Dallas at Los Angeles (Center Ice, 10:30 pm Eastern) gets the prime spot in the Lounge. Islanders/San Jose is on the modestly sized HD monitor (MSG-Plus, 10:30 pm Eastern).

I used to visit other joints on nights like tonight. But now I control the remote, I cook the food and I serve the beer. Sounds like I win, again.
