Notes on a bar coaster as I do some cleaning up around the Lounge on a Sunday.
***Here's the "Coach's Corner" segment from last night on "Hockey Night in Canada."
***Rolled into the Lounge this morning and decided to give ESPNews another shot at redemption before I switched over at 1 Eastern to watch the Flyers/Senators game on Center Ice. Any mention of hockey during the 60 minutes? Of course not. Mentions of the Celtics' Ray-Ray, PP, three-be, etc., seems to be what the audience wants, when they are not being treated to highlights of bowl games and college basketball. Good night, ESPN. Check you next year.
***The Flyers' goaltending and/or their team defense is a problem. (Whodathunk that when Philadelphia added Chris Pronger?) Ottawa gave up a cheap one today before getting four back. In the second period, the Flyers came back to tie it. Both teams' starting goaltenders have been yanked. As I await the third period, I am taking wagers at the bar on which team's goaltending will falter. My money is on the Flyers.
***Listening to the Wreckers. Always worth a play in the Lounge.
***Chicken fried rice and Thai pot stickers are the way to go for a Sunday in-game meal. Just have to avoid allowing rice into the keyboard. One could say the team defense here at the Lounge is a bit weak, too.
