Moncton Completes Memorial Cup Field
The Moncton Wildcats claimed the final berth in the 2010 Memorial Cup tournament on Monday night with a 7-4 victory over the Saint John Sea Dogs, taking the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League championship series in six games, winning the President Cup.
Next up for the Wildcats is a date on Saturday with the Calgary Hitmen, the playoff champions of the Western Hockey League. Also in the field are the Windsor Spitfires, playoff champions of the Ontario Hockey League, and the Brandon Wheat Kings, the host team, which lost to the Hitmen in the semifinal round of the WHL playoffs.
The tournament, which begins Friday, will be televised in Canada (Rogers Sportsnet and RDS) and in the United States (NHL Network).
