Tuesday's Coffee and Waffles

The scrappy Phoenix Coyotes are leading late in the game in Detroit. Cannot seal the deal on the power play. Cannot keep from scrambling on the ice. Cannot quiet the crowd at the Joe, which is finally enjoying the buzz of a few Big Beers and the home Red Wings.

Yep, it's Patsy Cline time for the Coyotes. Nicklas Lidstrom ties the score and in overtime, Phoenix falls to pieces.



Todd Big Bert Bertuzzi makes a point-to-point pass and Ruslan Salei shoots from the top of the left circle. Henrik Zetterberg in front makes the deflection.

Done. More disappointment for Phoenix at the hands of Detroit.

Time for another round of coffee. That is, except for you in the Land of AZ. Sleep in, let the hockey hangover work it's way out of the system.
